  1. Lest we Forget….

Gone are those days when a Nation, however powerful militarily, with the capability to leverage technology and with its financial heft, could run over another country with impunity.

Notwithstanding the tall claims made by President Trump from time to time to finish the war and free Iran from the tyranny of the ‘Oppressive Islamic Regime’, Iran has displayed tremendous tenacity and showed to the world that military power alone is not sufficient to defeat a resilient nation which is not prepared to accept defeat.

This war, now in its seventh month with no end in sight has brought out some great lessons in the domain of conflict management for the students of warfare. It has proved that a country with rudimentary technology, can sustain against an enemy with far more advanced technology and achieve its objective with better planning and gauging the weaknesses of the adversary. This war also flags that the civilizational ethos and will of the people counts a lot for a nation to remain motivated to continue with the resistance. Finally, the outcome of any conflict depends on the comprehensive national power. Obviously, it entails much more than military power alone.

In this book by STRIVE INDIA, an attempt has been made to draw out lessons which would be highly relevant for India to build a strong and resilient India capable of sustaining against any threat from Pakistan, China or even both of them coming together to cause problems for India in any future conflict-
