As per the latest ICSE Syllabus and Specimen Paper for the year 2019-20.
It is meant to introduce students to the 10 short stories prescribed for the ICSE Examination. It has been written in a simple language to arouse students? interest, enhance their comprehension skills, knowledge and appreciation of literature and provide thought provoking discussion and writing ability. The stories are dealt with under nine heads. Each story has an introductory note on the author and the story in particular.
