The Indian Anthropologist, the inaugural issue of which came up in 1971 on the occasion of the birth centenary celebrations of Rai Bahadur Sarat Chandra Roy one of the founding fathers of Indian Anthropology is the major organ of the IAA. The founder Editor was Prof. S.C. Dube. The Indian Anthropologist successfully endeavored to reflect in its pages the range and diversity of contemporary research and writing on the Anthropology of India.
