S C Rastogi, former Professor of Biological Sciences of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, has a vast and variegated experience of teaching and research spanning more than 40 years. After his training in molecular biology from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Mumbai, he worked constantly to modernise biology courses in BITS. He has taught and supervised doctoral research in computer applications in molecular biology, enzyme biotechnology and physiology. He has also successfully completed several research projects funded by various agencies. As a biologist of repute and credited with many educational innovations, he has been a constant participant in the course development activities in BITS and other universities. He has edited many proceedings of scientific symposia and authored several research papers in national and international journals. As a prolific writer, he has authored several books in the field of bioinformatics, biochemistry, immunology, molecular biology, physiology and biotechnology.


Shivani Rastogi did B.Sc. (Hons.) from Aligarh University and M.Sc. from Rohilkhand University. She has coauthored a Textbook for Class XII (CBSE) students. She was associated as a visiting faculty at Whitefield Public School, Rampur.
