Dr. M M Nandi obtained his B.Sc. Chemistry Hons., M.Sc. and PhD. degrees from Calcutta University. He was awarded PRS and Mouat Medal by Calcutta University for his work in the area of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry and Griffith Memorial prize for his work on biochemical treatment of Indian copper ores. He has taken several patents in the area of Biotechnology and Development of Corrosion inhibitors and completed several research projects financed by UGC/CSIR as the principal investigator.He has got teaching and research experience of more than 40 years, published several research papers in National and International Journals. Seven students have been awarded PhD degree working under his guidance by Calcutta University and NIT, Durgapur.He worked in CSIR Laboratory, Bhubaneswar, Calcutta University Postgraduate Centre, Agartala, Tripura University, Bose Institute, Kolkata and NIT, Durgapur. He retired while working as Professor, Chemistry Department, NIT, Durgapur in August 2014. Subsequently he worked as Professor and Head, Chemistry Department, Bengal College of Engineering and Technology, Durgapur. He is specialized in the fields of Inorganic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biotechnology and Corrosion inhibition. |
